Lon L. Edwards, of Princeton, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2016.
Lon was born April 24, 1943 in Cherokee, Iowa to the late Lottie May (Gregg) and H. O. Edwards.
In addition to his parents, Lon was preceded in death by niece Heather Edwards, nephews Steven Roberts and Scott Wyborny and Stephen Boyd.
Surviving are his wife of 43 years Cookie, Brother Denny (Wendy) Edwards, Sisters Karen Gray and Janie (Ken) Fedde, Sisters-in-law Donna Jones, Sandy Wyborny, Brothers-in-law Glenn (Irene) Boyd and Bill (Jolene) Boyd. Nephews, Lance (Heidi) Edwards, Cory (Heather) Edwards, David (Rhonda) Jones, Dallas (Ann) Jones, Rick (Jody) Wyborny, Mark Wyborny, Brant (Amy) Boyd, Benjamin Boyd, Jim Boyd.
He served in the United States Army and served in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1968. He attended Morningside College, University of South Dakota and graduated in 1977 from Palmer College of Chiropractic.
Lon loved to garden, he was an exceptional woodworker, and a top notch mechanic. After moving to Princeton in 1978, he & Cookie opened Edwards Chiropractic Center in Princeton where he practiced for 35 years. Kelly Paddick worked for over 30 years as his office manager and Phyllis Stewart for 20 years as therapist. He was very appreciative of their loyal service to him and his patients.
Military graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at Oakhill Cemetery in Cherokee, Iowa.
