Robert Burnett 92, of Maineville, OH formerly of Oakland City entered rest on September 29, 2016 at Cedar Village in Mason, OH

He was born on April 1, 1924 in Pike County to Gilbert and Emma (Griffith) Burnett.

He was a veteran serving WWII Army Air Corps as a flight instructor, He was employed as a Tipple Foreman at Old Ben Coal for 36 years, and was a member of Loveland United Methodist Church.

Those who knew Bob remember him as a kind and quiet man who enjoyed his grandchildren, the Indiana Hoosiers, the Reds, and the Cardinals.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Peggy Gowen.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years Dorothy (Coleman) Burnett Maineville, OH, Son Barry (Jeanie) Burnett Maineville, OH, five grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Monday October 3, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with burial in Montgomery Cemetery, Visitation will be Sunday October 2, 2016 from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at Lamb Basham and Monday from 8 A.M. until service.
