Nancy Kaye (Adams) Sweeney, age 69, of New Palestine, passed
away Monday, August 22, 2016 at her home. She was born on January 27, 1947 in
Princeton, Indiana as the daughter of Albert and Chloe (Jones) Adams. She
graduated from Princeton High School in 1965. She married Daniel B. Sweeney on
January 1, 1983 in Indianapolis.
Nancy worked for Lucent Technologies for 31 years before retiring in 2000. Mrs.
Sweeney was a member of Brookville Road Community Church. She loved crocheting,
watching soap operas and doing jewelry shows with her daughter. She was a fan
of the Colts and the Pacers. Nancy was a wonderful grandmother to her
granddaughters and she was also a wonderful cook.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Dan Sweeney of New Palestine; daughter,
Kristie (Darrin) Ruling of New Palestine; sister, Beverly (Jake) Barton of
Princeton, Indiana; two granddaughters, Chloe and Cailyn; and several nieces
and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerry Adams;
and nephew, Jeffery Adams.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00
p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US
Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August
26, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Brookville Road Community Church, 7480 US-52, New
Palestine, IN 46163. Pastor Andy Flink will be
officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Park East in Indianapolis.
