Helen L. Kirk, of Princeton, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.

She was born on December 26, 1924 in Greenville, Missouri to Benjamin Harrison and Mattie (Lane) Hicks.

Helen is survived by sons David (Debbi) Kirk of Melbourne, FL and John Kirk of Princeton; daughter Terrie (Jerry) Overton of Princeton; 6 grandchildren, Dean, Ryan (Ashley) and Kassi Kirk, Amy, Chris (Kristy) Overton and Kristi (Chad) Qualls; 3 great grandchildren, Jillian, Dylan and Trent; a sister Wilma Bishop, and nieces and nephews.

Helen was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She was a member of Broadway Christian Church. She enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and IU basketball teams.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Marlin Kirk in April of 2012, sisters Elsie White and Jewell Perryman.

Funeral Services will be held 1 PM on Tuesday, June 21 , 2016 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. John Dunn officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 11 until 1 PM on Tuesday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
