Olevia Frances “Cleve” (Willis) Clem, passed away
Thursday, June 2, 2016 at her home surrounded by friends and caretakers.
She was born July 16, 1924
in Pike County to Oscar and Minnie (Ennes) Willis.
She worked for Republic
Plant in Engineering and modeled clothing for several area stores, was a
secretary for several attorneys and a bailiff for a judge. She retired in 1984
after 42 years of working. She attended Willis grade school in Pike County and
graduated high school from Mt. Olympus in 1943. She was a 50
year member of Eastern Star OES 176 and served as Worthy Matron in 1957.
She was a 70 year member of Fairview Church. She loved
her church and her church people and liked to make plans for ladies
day lunches and did this for several years. She and her husband, Jack, traveled
to Europe and visited several countries, enjoyed several trips to Branson and
to shows at Clarksville and Louisville. She enjoyed arts and crafts and had
booths in several stores in the area. She loved to decorate her home and yard.
She enjoyed her home and loved her many different animals over the years,
especially Jake and Bubba. She had also hosted several receptions for Evan Bayh
at her home.
She was preceded in death by
her husband, Jack, whom she married on May 7, 1944 and he passed away on
September 20, 2002; her parents; and grandparents, Rev. Andrew Jackson Willis
and his wife, Polly and also Abraham Lincoln Ennes
and his wife, Rosetta.
She is survived by a sister,
Helen Robling of Ireland, IN; nephew Jerry Robling (Mary Ann) of Ireland, IN; great nephew, Jerry
Matthew Robling of Jasper, IN; great-great nephew
Dillon Robling of Jasper, IN; nephew-in-law, J.D.
Smith (Connie); nieces-in-law, Debra Smith Herthel
(Nick) of Bloomington, IN and Sonya Smith of California.
A special thank you goes to
her care givers Lisa, Ann, Diane, Celeste, Kay, Martha, Joyce, and Lula Belle
and Lloyd Salters; also to Southern Care Hospice workers Jodie, Lorrie and Sisco. They all gave her lots of love and attention that
made her days happier.
Funeral services will be
held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Fairview Presbyterian Church, CR 450
East at CR 50 North, Princeton, IN 47670, with Pastor Jerry Wibert
officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4
until 7 p.m. Monday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton and again from 10 a.m.
until the hour of service on Tuesday at the church.
