Louis C. Buck, 87, of Buckskin, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton, IN.
He was born on December 28, 1928 in Buckskin, Indiana to Chris and Lula (Munnier) Buck.
He retired from Ralston Purina after 35 years and also farmed for a large portion of his life. He was a member of St. John’s Church of Buckskin. He was also a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Imolee (Helsley) Buck of Buckskin; 2 sons, Dirk (Patti) Buck of Evansville and Dana (Linda) Buck of Buckskin; 4 grandchildren, Ashley (Ryan) Henehan, Christian Buck, Kim Wilder and Kevin (Kari) Kirsch; 4 great grandchildren, Jailyn and Jerzi Wilder & Faith and Isaiah Kirsch; 3 sisters, Jessie Memmer of Buckskin, Shirley Higginson (Harry) of Haubstadt and Pat Thompson (Jerry) of Evansville; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Gertrude Kolterman (Hilmer) and Bertha “Skeet” Cooper (Lorel); and a great grandchild, Izrael Kirsch.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at St. Johns Church of Buckskin, officiated by Rev. Bill Reed. Burial will follow in the St. Johns Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 pm on Monday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, IN. Military Graveside Services by retired military veterans.
