Jack R. Almon, 78, passed away Monday, June 20, 2016 at his residence.
He was born on January 3, 1938 in Gibson County to the late Robert Earl and Nancy Eva (Jordan) Almon.
Jack is a graduate of Owensville High School class of 1956. He was a grain and livestock farmer all of his life. He was a member of the Christian Fellowship Church.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 59 years, Sue (Garrett); children, Phil (Jaymie) Almon and Wendi (Gary) Pegram daughter-in-law, Angie Almon; 5 grandchildren, Ryan (Courtney), Tyler (Hayli) and Lauren Almon, Chelsi and Shelbi Pegram; 1 great-granddaughter Annistyn Almon; 2 brothers, Jim (Edna) and John (Karen) Almon; brother-in-laws, Mike (Irma) Garrett and Boyd Saviers; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Roy Lee on July 24, 2014; brothers, Bob and Joe Ray Almon; sisters, Dorothy Beloat, Evelyn Hurt, Janie Saviers and June Clark.
Graveside services will be held at Noon on Friday June 24, 2016 at Maumee Cemetery with the Rev. Ken Nelson officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday June 23, 2016 at Holders Funeral Home.
