Mary Jean Smith, 89, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away on May 28, 2016 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN.

She was born on June 14, 1926 in Fort Branch, IN to the late Benjamin and Hazel Irene (Coyne) Sollman.

She was a member of the Fort Branch First Presbyterian Church. And had worked for Indiana Grain Elevators.

Besides her parents Mary Jean was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Smith in 1977, 2 brothers, Robert and Paul Sollman.

She is survived by 3 children, Glen (Linda) Smith of Fort Branch, IN, Tim (Susan) Smith of Fort Branch, IN, Jennifer Lynn (George) Schroeder of Grayville, IL, 3 grandchildren, Mary Ann (Greg) Rudolph, Jennilee Schroeder, and Melody Schroeder, 2 great grandchildren, Evan Moore, and Jacob Rudolph.

A celebration of life will be held at 5:00 PM on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN, Rev. Cory Akins will officiate. 

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 3:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
