Kenneth Joseph Scheller, 73, of
Haubstadt, IN, passed away May 26th, 2016, in the presence of family
at River Pointe Health Campus in Evansville.
Kenneth was born April 14, 1943, the son of the late Sylvester and
Martha (Schenk) Scheller.
Kenneth was a graduate of Mater Dei High
School and was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul
Catholic Church. Known as “Pops” to many, he worked at Emge
Packing Company for 32 years until it closed in 1999. When he wasn’t working,
he could be found at his kids and grandchildren’s ballgames and recitals. He
also enjoyed golfing, fishing, coaching, playing softball, umpiring, and
listening to music at the Watering Hole.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his
parents, grandson Matthew Joseph Scheller, and
sister-in-law Cathy Scheller.
He is survived by his children: Kent (Amy)
Scheller, Kelli (Paul) Goedde of Haubstadt, Scott
(Kim) Scheller of Fort Branch, Chris (Cindy) Scheller of Cynthiana, Todd (Maria) Scheller
of Bonnyrigg Heights, Australia; his brothers David
(Mary), John, Ronald (Carol), Daniel; his sisters Carolyn (Ivan) Riedford, Monica (George) Espenlaub,
Tina (Jeff) Pate; his grandchildren: Nicholas, Abby, Jacob, Jordan, Griffin, Malorie, Mason, Noah, Isaac, Luke, Payton, and Isaiah Scheller and Alison, Jacquelyn, and Sydney Goedde; his
step-father John Paul; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held
Wednesday, June 1, at 10:30 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul
Catholic Church in Haubstadt, officiated by Fr. Anthony Ernst and Fr. Sudhakar Bhastati, with burial at
Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit on Tuesday, May 31, 2-8 PM at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch. Visitation at the
church will be held 9-10 AM with a Rosary at 10 AM prior to the funeral mass at
10:30 AM.
