Marvin D. Monk 72 of Princeton, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Gibson General Hospital located in Princeton.

Marvin was born December 21, 1943 in Long Beach CA, to Walter Eugene and Phyllis Avalon (Smith) Monk.

He retired from Public Service Indiana after many years of service.

He is survived by his father, Walter Eugene Monk of Shelburn, IN and 2 sons; Marvin Duane Monk of Marion, IL and Chad Monk of Columbus, IN as well as 1 daughter, Robin Donaldson of Bloomington, IN. He is also survived by 3 brothers; Lyle Monk of Indianapolis, IN, Randy (Melanie) Monk of Sullivan, IN, Eric (Mary) Monk of Downers Grove, IL and 3 sisters; Dahris (Ron) Fish of Sullivan, IN, Theresa (Jimmy) Wible of Shelburn, IN and Emily (Darren) Boyll of Fairbanks, IN. Other survivors include 4 grandsons, 3 granddaughters and 1 great grandson.

There will be a memorial service at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Doyle Funeral Home located at 520 S. Main St. in Princeton, IN 47670 with Pastor Jim Gidcumb officiating.

There will be a time of visitation with the family on Tuesday, from 5:00 P.M. until time of service at 7:00 P.M.
