Donald Ray Meier 79 of Somerville entered rest on Sunday May 15, 2016 at
Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.

He was born on Sept.8, 1936 in Somerville to John & Ethel (Schnur) Meier.

Donnie was preceded in death by his Parents and 2 sisters: Lillian Harrison,
Cleo Wall.

He was a lifetime resident of Somerville where he helped operate The Somerville Telephone Exchange in the 1960’s. He was a great farm hand to many of local farmers; and an honorary Life Time member of Somerville Volunteer
Fire Dept. He also was a huge St. Louis Cardinal fan. He attended the Somerville Wesleyan Church.

He is survived by Sisters: Elsie Willis of Oakland City, IN, Phyllis Knaack of Chester, VA. Special Friends: Aaron Doerner and Steve LaMar; Several Nieces and Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews. 

Services will be 12 Noon on Saturday May 21,2016 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with burial in Providence Cemetery near Francisco, IN. Rev. Matt Malin officiating.

Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M until services on Saturday.
