Dolly D. Dewig, 88 passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Fort Branch on January 24, 1928 to Harry Elmo and Alice Maude (Nolan) Brennan.
She resided most of her life in Haubstadt. Dolly was a
homemaker.
She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic
Church and V.F.W. Post #2714 Ladies Auxiliary in Fort Branch. Dolly loved to
camp, NASCAR racing and spending time with her family.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Clarence in 1995 and her
son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Darlene Dewig. 1
brother, 2 half brothers and 1 half
sister.
Dolly is survived by 4 daughters; Jackie Dewig of
Haubstadt, Judy (Craig) Byers of Fort Branch, Jan Dewig
of Fort Branch and Jeanell “Nub” (Dale) Crossfield of
Haubstadt. 3 sons; John “Hans” (Linda) Dewig of
Haubstadt, Terry (Sharon) Dewig of Terre Haute, IN
and Keith “Ink” (Jody) Dewig of Haubstadt. 12
grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great- grandchild. Several
nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 9:30 AM Saturday, May 7 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with burial following
in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 PM Friday, May 6 at Wade Funeral Home with a Rosary service beginning at 1:30 PM.
