Karen
L. (Burdette) Edrington, 63, of Oakland City, Indiana
died Friday, April 1, 2016 at her home.
She
was born October 11, 1952 to Harry Dean and Helen Stuckey Burdette of
Winslow.
She
was a lifelong member of the New Liberty General Baptist Church in Coe, holding
numerous offices over the years. She was employed by Hometown IGA in
Oakland City for 23 years until she retired in 2014.
She was preceded in death by her father
in 2008, a son Jason Edrington in 1998 and a grandson
Caleb Dean Edrington in 2012.
She is survived by her son Ryan (Amy) Edrington, five grandchildren: Allison, Matthew,
Elizabeth, Jack and Isaiah all of Petersburg; her mother, Helen Burdette of
Winslow; two sisters: Brenda (Lanny) Simmons of Winslow; and Deana Kearns
of West End, NC; two nieces: Melanie (David) Kavanaugh
and Katie Kearns; one nephew, Joshua Kearns and one great niece, Karley Kavanaugh.
Funeral Services will be conducted by
Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City on Tuesday, April 5, at 10 a.m. (CDT)
with Rev. Garry Pancake officiating. Burial will be in the New Liberty
Cemetery.
Visitation
will be held from 3 until 8 p.m. (CDT) on Monday, April 4, 2016 at the
Corn-Colvin Funeral Home.
