Wayne Beasley,
89, of Princeton, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, April 29, 2016 at
Gibson General Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit in Princeton.
He was born on
November 15, 1926 in Oakland City, IN to Victor and Bernice (Keeton) Beasley,
both preceded him in death.
His first wife,
Leona (Evans) Beasley also preceded him in death.
Wayne was a
teacher. He taught, coached and was an administrator in Indiana Schools. He
taught at Indiana State University and retired as a Professor of School
Administration at the University of South Florida. He served in the US Army in
WWII. He was a member of Bethel Memorial Church in Princeton.
He is survived
by his wife, Ramona (Reagan) Beasley of Princeton; daughter, Lana (Bill) Wolfe
of Orlando, FL; son, John (Debbie) Beasley of Tampa, FL; 6 grandsons, Andrew (Angie)
Wolfe, Kyle Wolfe, Derek Wolfe, Brett (Elissa) Wolfe, Nathan Beasley and Adam
(Ashley) Beasley; great grandson, Conor Wolfe and
great granddaughter, Charlotte Wolfe; brother, Max (Pat) Beasley of Oakland
City, IN; step children, Kim (Tom) Pinkston of Princeton, Mike (Julie)
Richardson of Mt, Juliet, TN and Steve (Leesa)
Richardson of Newburgh, In; step grandchildren, Chelsea (Matt) Harper, Brent
(Olivia) Pinkston and Zane Richardson; and a step-great grandson, Luke
Pinkston.
Funeral Services
will be held at 10 am on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Colvin Funeral Home, 425 N.
Main St., Princeton, IN 47670, officiated by Pastor Kevin Wilson. Military
services will be provided by Retired Military Veterans at the funeral home.
Visitation will
be from 4 until 8 pm on Wednesday at the Colvin Funeral Home. Burial will be at
a later date at the National Military Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
