Dorothy Marie Morrison, 100, of Princeton, passed away
on Monday, March 7, 2016 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.
She was born February 12, 1916 in Decker, Indiana to
John “Duke” and Julia Grace (Carey) Manning.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in
Princeton. Dorothy was a member of the Cherry Grove Home Ec
Club. She formerly was a gray lady at Baldwin Heights School. She was an avid
St. Louis Cardinal fan, loved watching westerns, feeding and watching birds,
tending to her flowers and visiting with family and friends.
She is survived by her 4 children; Tom (Marla)
Morrison of Winslow, Gary (Kathy) Morrison of Huntingburg, Marlene (Don) Plemmons of Princeton and Becky (Roger) Allen of Jasper; 7
grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a sister, Maxine Julian of
Princeton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband,
Herman H. Morrison in 1984; brother, Vincent Manning; and 4 sisters, Newell
Ellis, Marjorie White, Velta Ann Edrington
and Eileen Boerke.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM (CST) on
Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor
Jim Saunders officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 PM on Wednesday at
the Colvin Funeral Home.
