Deena S. Harper, age 54, of Princeton, passed away on Monday,
March 21, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.
Deena was born on September 18, 1961 in Evansville, IN to Vance
and Lawanna (Lamon) Kell.
On May 23, 1980, in Oakland City, IN, she married Vaughn Harper,
who survives.
She has been an area resident for 36 years and enjoyed doing
ceramics, gardening, and decorating her home. Deena was a 1983 graduate of
Oakland City University and was a substitute teacher for several years in the
surrounding area school systems, but as of late, her main focus was being a
homemaker. She was a caregiver for several children and loved her animals.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Vaughn Harper of
Princeton, and her father and stepmother, Vance and Nancy Kell
of Avon Park, FL. Deena is also survived by son, Jonathon Harper of Petersburg,
daughter, Maggie Harper of Princeton, and God-daughter, Alex Villalobos, also
of Princeton, and brother Jeff Kell of Evansville.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Lawanna
Kell.
Funeral Services
will be at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Doyle Funeral Home located at
520 S. Main St., Princeton, IN 47670, with Rhenda Forcum officiating. Interment will take place in Columbia
White Church Cemetery of Princeton.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 2:00 till
4:00 and from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M.
