Gordon Harry Elmore, Jr., 85, passed away at Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital in Cadillac, Michigan on March 7, 2016.
He was born on November 4, 1930 in Bloomington, IN to the late Gordon and Newell (Manning) Elmore.
Gordon worked as a Glass Blower by trade. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He also attended Fort Branch First United Methodist Church. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and avid bass fisherman. He was married to the love of his life, Marcia Louise Campbell, for 15 years and never remarried.
He is survived by 1 son Mike Elmore of Newport Beach, CA, 2 daughters Susie Woods of Louisville, KY and Brenda JoAnn Harris of Mesick, MI, 2 brothers John Elmore of Nashville, IN and Joe Elmore of San Diego, CA, 1 sister Judith Brewster of Irvine, CA, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Services will be held at Stodghill Funeral Home on HWY 168 in Fort Branch, IN on Saturday March 12, 2016 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home on Saturday.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Princeton, IN following services.
