Jerome A. Baehl, 84 passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Vanderburgh County on December 8, 1931 to Alphons and Irma (Sensmeier) Baehl.
Jerome retired from Whayne Supply
Co. in Evansville as a diesel mechanic. He resided in Haubstadt the past 51
years.
Jerome was a member of Sts. Peter
and Paul Catholic Church, a member of Knights of St. John Commandery
#288, St. Joe, Vanderburgh County, an Honorary Life member of Knights of
Columbus #2215, Princeton Eagles #361, a lifetime member of The Owls, a
member of Loyal Order of the Moose #354. Jerome was a U.S. Army veteran of the
Korean War and a member of American Legion Post #194.
He was preceded in death by his son, Aaron J. Baehl, his parents, 1 brother, Bernard and a great-niece,
Meghan Elpers.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Ruth Helen “Midge”
(Tolbert) Baehl. They were married June 6, 1964 at
St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton. 1 daughter, Amy Baehl-Krieg
(Trent) of Evansville. 1 daughter-in-law, Roxanne Baehl-Likens
(Ron) of Cynthiana. 6 grandchildren; Zackery, Delaney and Kaleb Baehl, Colton Likens, Dacia and Hayley Krieg. 2 sisters,
Valeria Spindler of Princeton and Sharon Mills of Evansville. 3 brothers, Kenny
Baehl of Chrisney and Doyle
and Paul Baehl both of Evansville. Several nieces and
nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with burial following in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 PM Friday, April 1 at Wade
Funeral Home with a Knights of Columbus Rosary service beginning at 1:30 PM.
Friends may also call from 10 to 11 AM Saturday, April 2 at the church.
