Nettie J. Overfield, 84, passed away at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, IN.

She was born on February 15, 1932 to the Late Easter (Johnson) and Ralph Bales in Dunlap, TN.

Nettie was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, IN. She worked at Anchor Industries for 25 years and retired from Walmart after 23 years. She will be missed dearly by her family, friends,beloved cats, and special neighbors.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, a stepson Gerald Overfield and her husband Frederick Overfield on March 3, 1987.

She is survived by her children Brenda (Cissna) Mayes (David) of Evansville, IN, Carolyn (Cissna) Sodrel (Wayne) of Evansville, IN, Larry (Carol) Cissna of Newburgh, IN, Brad (Dana) Cissna of Evansville, IN, Mark Cissna of Evansville, IN, Jason (Kary) Overfield of Greenwood, IN, stepchildren Frederick (Debbie) Overfield Jr. of Troy, IL, Diane Overfield of Evansville, IN, Thomas (Karen) Overfield of Phoenix, AZ and several grandchildren and great grandchildren..

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday March 9, 2016 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch at 2:00 PM with visitation from 12:00 Pm to 2:00 PM.

Visitation will be on Tuesday March 8, 2016 at Stodghill Funeral Home on HWY 168 in Fort Branch, IN from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
