Lisa Ann (Campbell) Maikranz, 48, of Oakland City, Indiana went home to her Heavenly Father and Beloved Savior on Friday, February 12, 2016 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, where she transitioned from this world as she had lived her life, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born September 12, 1967 in Princeton, to Jim and Doris (Besing) Campbell.
She grew up in Buckskin, married her high school sweetheart and best friend, Brian Maikranz in November 28, 1987.
As a young wife and mother, Lisa set out to pursue her desire to be a registered nurse and obtained her degree from Ivy Tech while working full time and caring for her family. She was employed at St. Mary’s Hospital where her faith, compassion, and smile brought comfort and support to her patients and co-workers. Lisa was a loving wife and devoted mother. She dedicated herself to her children by supporting them in every activity, dream, and ambition they pursued.
She was a member of the St. John's Church of Buckskin. She enjoyed riding four wheelers with her family, raising flowers, gardening and mowing the lawn.
She is survived by her husband, Brian; children, Bryson (Rachel) Maikranz, Braydon Maikranz and Brenna Maikranz; mother Doris Campbell; first grandchild, due in June; a sister, Vicky Campbell; several aunts, uncles, cousins, brother and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Campbell; sister, Theresa; Grandma B, and godparents, Don (Doris) Besing.
Lisa touched and inspired many people with her faith, love of family, work ethic and dedication to family and friends. If you knew her, you were truly blessed.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at St. John's Church of Buckskin, with Rev. Doug Gorman officiating. Burial will follow at the St. John's Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 until 7 pm on Tuesday at St. John's Church, and from 8 a.m. until service time on Wednesday. The Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City has been entrusted with arrangements.
