Lola Mae Gordon, 93, passed away at 3:45 a.m. Feb. 28, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Lola was born July 9, 1922 in Princeton, daughter of Wayman and Livola (Russell) Stewart. She married James R. Gordon. He preceded her in death Aug. 27, 1995.
Lola was a former employee of W.T. Grant Store, and a housekeeper and homemaker. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Rogan Tiester Chapter, Order of Eastern Star and the Phyllis Wheatley Club.
Survivors include her son, Ronald Gordon of Vincennes; daughter-in-law, Esther Gordon of Vincennes; sister, Lenora Cole and her husband Jack of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Veronica Jewel Gordon of Vincennes, Dinah Lynn Tosaya of Pasadena, California, David S. Gordon of Vincennes; great grandchildren, Raquel Tosaya of Los Angeles, California, Danielle Tosaya of Los Angeles, California, Devyn Gordon of Evansville, Alaina Gordon-Duncan of Vincennes; and several nieces and nephews.
Lola was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sisters, Imogene Hughes and Marie Morris and her brother, Milburn Stewart.
Funeral service for Lola will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2016 at Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home, 505 Main Street, with Rev. Rodney Coffer officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Friends may visit with Lola’s family from 4-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
