Edward P. Willis, 85, of Petersburg passed away on
Monday, January 25, 2016 at Amber Manor Care Center in Petersburg.
Edward was born on November 19, 1930 in Petersburg,
Indiana to Walter D. and Merneth (Robling)
Willis.
He was a resident of Pike County most of his life and
a member of the Knights Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church in rural
Petersburg. He had worked at Industrial Contractors in Evansville and was a
member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local Union 20 out of Evansville. He also
served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Nyla Dooley of Petersburg; grandsons,
Chad Willis and Brian (Erin) Willis, both of Petersburg; great-grandchildren,
Danton, Lily, Kennedy & Sadie Willis; brothers, Bob Willis of Evansville
& Joe Willis of Newburgh; sister, Mary Willis Graham of Evansville; and
several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wilma S. Willis; son, Daniel J.
Willis; infant daughter, Patricia Ann Willis; brother, Gene Willis; and
sisters, Inez Hill & Bertha Inman.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:30 pm EST on Friday, January 29, 2016 at
Knights Chapel Cemetery in Oatsville, IN, officiated
by Pastor Robert Strain with burial following.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm EST
on Friday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City.
