Stephen Blaine “Steve” Johnson, 61, of Evansville,
passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016 at his home.
He was born in Evansville, Indiana on April 30, 1954
to the late Harry Blaine and Dorothy (Higgs) Johnson.
He was a veteran, having served in the U. S. Marine
Corp. He was retired from Alcoa Warrick Operations, where he had worked for
over 30 years. He was a lifetime member of V.F.W. No. 1114 in Evansville; a
member of Columbia Masonic Lodge No. 450 F. & A.M. in Patoka; a past
president of the Gibson County Shrine Club and a past president of the Drum
& Bugle Corp. of the Hadi Shrine Temple in
Evansville.
“Steve” is survived by his wife, Janet “Jan” (Burton) Johnson; 4 children, Jerred (Tricia) Burns, Brandi (Josh) Hall, Jennifer Johnson
and Stevie Johnson; 4 grandchildren, Isaac Burns, Kennady
Burns, Austin Hall and Jackson Burns; 2 sisters, Lewana
(Rob) Doyle of Wadesville and Ginger (Jim) Kuebler of
Evansville; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the
Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor John Heumann
officiating. Burial will follow at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday and
again from 9 until 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Colvin Funeral Home. Full
military rites will be provided by the Funeral Honors Department of the USMC.
