Deacon Stephen Hall Jr. 87, of Snake Run,
IN passed away peacefully on Jan. 11, 2016 at Good Samaritan Home in Oakland
City, IN.
He was born to the late George Stephen and Anna
Kathrine (Perdue) Hall on Nov. 21, 1928 in Corydon, KY.
He was a member of the St. Bernard
Catholic Church in Snake Run, IN and had served as a Catholic Deacon for the
past 30 years. Stephen had worked in insurance sales and as a licensed
barber for most of his life. He had served in the U.S. Navy. He was a
hospice volunteer for 16 years. His life was a life of service.
Besides his parents Stephen is also
preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Kitchell
Hall, a son Rick Hall, a grandson Jason Hall and 2 sisters Tommie Ann Meyer,
and Jennie Halter, and 1 brother, Norman Hall.
Stephen is survived by his beloved wife,
Patricia (Lefler) Hall of Snake Run, IN, 5 children,
Linda (Larry) Doerner of Fort Branch, IN, Sharon Rose
(Terry) Dewig of Terre Haute, IN, Jeffrey D. (Deb)
Hall of Fort Branch, IN, Joseph A. (Angel) Hall of Kernersville, NC, Stephen
John (Peg) Hall of Fort Branch, IN, 1 sister and 1 brother, Rosalie Stone of
Evansville, IN, Ronald E. Hall of Evansville, IN. He is also survived by
16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held
on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the St. Bernard Catholic Church in
Snake Run, IN with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday, Jan. 15, 2016 from 4:00
PM until 8:00 PM at the Stodghill Funeral Home in
Fort Branch, IN. and again from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday at the
church.
