Lee Laverne Davidson, 98, of Giro, passed away
Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the Amber Manor in Petersburg.
She was born in Knox County, IN on March 31, 1917 to
the late Harry and Nora (Wyant) Stafford.
She was a homemaker and loved gardening, cooking and
quilting, and was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Miller of Denver, CO; a daughter-in-law,
Janie Davidson of Giro; 2 grandchildren, Julie (Bob) Bugher
and Barry (Cindy) Davidson; 5 great grandchildren, John (Bri)
Davidson, Joe (Brittany) Davidson, Hannah (Adam) Peil,
Michael and Jaleigh Bugher;
9 great-great grandchildren, Abigail, Jordyn, Isabella and Ezra Davidson,
Chase, Cole, Olivia and Brooklyn Peil, and Aubrey
Davidson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Thomas Davidson to
whom she was married on December 23, 1939 and they were married for 41 years at
the time of his death in 1980; a son, Garry Davidson; 5 siblings, Marie Boyd,
Elbert, Owen, Dale and Verle Stafford; and twin
great-great grandsons, Aiden and Addison Peil.
The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Amber Manor and Gentiva Hospice for their compassionate care.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the
Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with her great grandson, John Davidson
officiating. Burial will follow at the Davidson Cemetery in Giro.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on
Wednesday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
