Joan D. Cox, 89, of Oakland City passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at her home in Oakland City, IN.

She was born December 20, 1926 in Princeton, IN to Robert and Anice (Robinson) Deutsch.

She retired from Potter & Brumfield in 1988 after 29 years. She was a member of the Oakland City General Baptist Church. She was a former member of the Oakland City Golf Club. 

She is survived by her children, Bruce (Pam) Coleman of Senoia, GA, Marty (Laura) Coleman of Princeton and Michele (Rod) Bruce of Oakland City; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a sister, Nancy Hyslop of Florida. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter Cox in 2008; son, Jim Cox; and a granddaughter, Jada Bailey. 

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, with Pastor Alec Hensley officiating. Burial will be at the Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City.

Visitation will be from 11AM until 2 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
