William “Sam” Redman Sr., 87, of Patoka passed away on
Sunday, December 6, 2015 at the Waters of Princeton.
He was born on July 8, 1928 in Princeton, IN to Sam S.
and Bernice (Bingham) Redman.
He worked in farming for 22 years before he worked at
Hansen’s Manufacturing where he retired after 29 years. He was a lifetime
member of the Patoka Presbyterian Church. He was the Past Master of Masonic
Lodge Columbia #450. He was on the County Fair Board for 12 years and had been
active in the Fair since 1948. He was also a past member of the Elks, Patoka
Lions Club, White River Twp. Fire Dept., Patoka Cemetery Board and the Patoka
Town Board.
He is survived by his children, Debra Lynne (William)
Bell of Lake St. Louis, MO, William Sam Redman Jr of Patoka, and Anthony Ellis
Redman of Glendale, CA; 3 grandchildren, Preston and Brad Hale and Marie McRoberts; 4 great-grandchildren, Ryan and Evelyn Hale and
McKenzie and Teagan McRoberts, 1 great grandchild on
the way; and his favorite pet Labrador, “Bear”.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife,
Jerry Redman in 2013; and his daughter-in-law, Sibel
Redman.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday,
December 15, 2015 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Rev.
William Morris. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Patoka.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 pm on Monday at the
funeral home. There will be a Masonic service at 7 PM on Monday evening by
Patoka Columbia Lodge#450.
