Sammie G. Johnson, 57, of Patoka passed away on
Monday, December 14, 2015.
He was born on November 23, 1958 in Lena, Mississippi
to Arthur Lee and Betty Ray (Williams) Johnson.
He had been in the restaurant business in the
Princeton area for the last few years. He was a member of the Sanders Temple in
Indianapolis as well as the Charity Christian Center, also in Indianapolis. He
was a watchcare member at several local churches. He
loved people.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Pamela (Harris) Johnson; a son, Samuel
(Stasha McIntyre) Johnson; 4 grandchildren, Sa’Mareah, E’Vontaye, Sta’Vesha, & E’Javione; his
mother who raised him from the age of 11, Margaret Johnson; 5 brothers, Bobby,
Johnny, Connell, Robert & Chris Johnson and 2 sisters, Patricia Ann Parker
& Ashley Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Sammie Johnson, Jr. and a
brother, Brian Johnson, Sr.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at
Bethel Memorial Church in Princeton, officiated by Pastor Kevin Wilson.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Monday at
the Colvin Funeral Home, Princeton, IN and from 10 a.m. until service time on
Tuesday at the church.
