Janet (Jan) C. Currier, 73, of Haubstadt, passed away Dec. 13, 2015 at her home in Haubstadt.
She was born March 24, 1942 in Meadeville, Pennsylvania, to Christine and Dean Chelton, now deceased.
She was a 1960 graduate of LCS High School in Linesville, Pennsylvania. She retired from P.P.G Industries in 2004 after 26 years. She was the owner and operator of Bluebird Boarding Kennel in Fort Branch for many years.
She was an avid reader and loved golfing. She was a long time member of the Princeton Country Club. She attended Mackey Salem United Methodist Church.
Following retirement, she traveled extensively, visiting many countries.
She is survived by daughters Michelle (Charlie) Jenkins of Fort Branch and Diane Currier of Evansville; grandson Johnathan W. Spindler of Haubstadt; brothers Dean (Phyliss) Chelton, Cleveland, Ohio, Richard Chelton, Harmonsburg, Pennsylvania, sister Shirley (Mark) Stiegler, Lima, New York.
Jan has chosen not to have a funeral and has donated her body to Indiana University Medical School. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
