Norma Marie (Gottman) Bell,
98, of Haubstadt, passed away Monday, Dec. 07, 2015 at the Heritage Center.
Norma was born Feb. 21, 1917 in Vanderburgh County to
Charles and Mathilda (Maurer) Gottman.
She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in
Haubstadt and enjoyed gardening and farming her property. She had worked as a
riveter during World War II at Servel, as well as
Briggs Manufacturing and Shane Uniform Company. Norma loved to play Bunco and
had played in the same group since 1976.
Surviving Norma are a daughter, Darlene (Harry)
Burdette and a son, Dale (Kim) Bell, both of Evansville; seven grandchildren,
18 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in
death by her husband Gilbert Bell in 1975; a son, Ricky Bell in 2015; a
grandchild, Billy Joe Johnson; three brothers and two sisters.
There will be a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m.
Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015 at St. James Catholic Church, Rev. Kenneth Betz
officiating. Burial will follow in St. James Church Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 2 p.m. until 8
p.m. Wednesday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street and from 9:30
a.m. until service time Thursday at St. James Catholic Church in Haubstadt.
