David A. Woods, 75, of Petersburg passed away on Friday, November 27, 2015 at the Deaconess Heart Hospital in Evansville.
He was born on May 21, 1940 in Gibson County to Arnett and
Ester (Ransford) Woods. David had retired from the heating and air conditioning
business.
He is survived by his daughters LaDonna (Kenneth)
Rains of Princeton and Kimberly (Kelly) Atkins of Petersburg; 6 sisters:
Virginia (Warner) Knight of Evansville, Shirley Woods & Mary (Bobby Joe)
Whitehead of Mt. Carmel, Norma Sisson of Evansville, Donna Evans of
Jacksonville, FL and Linda Bronstetter of
Indianapolis; 2 brothers: Doyle (Sharon) Woods of Indianapolis and Gilbert
Woods of Princeton; 5 grandchildren: Valerie (Drew) Kakritz
of Perry, GA, Rachel (Luke) Cox & Kelsey Atkins of Petersburg, David &
Amber Rains of Princeton; 5 great grandchildren: Jacob Kakritz,
Kale Speedy, Caleigh Atkins, Kayden & Eva Cox.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jackie; infant son, Charles
David Woods and a brother Ronald Woods.
There will be a small family gathering at Oak Grove Cemetery in Johnson at a
later late. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with handling
the arrangements.
