Frankie Joe Shott, 70, of Shelburn, passed away on Monday, Nov. 30, 2015 at Shakamak Good Samaritan Center.
He was born Aug. 27, 1945 in Decker, the son of
William and Zeffie (Marble) Schatz.
Frankie was a U.S. Airforce Veteran who served his
country for 30 years. He served during the Vietnam War and Gulf War.
Frankie was an electrician and fireman for the civil
engineering squadron; he also worked at the 181st air base as a firefighter and
was a volunteer fireman for Curry Township. He was a member of The Southern
Baptist Church in Hymera, Sullivan American Legion
Post 139 and Sullivan VFW Post 2459.
Frankie is preceded in death by his parents, four
brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Linda Shott. They were married on May 13, 1967; sons Timothy Joe Shott of Sullivan, Jerry Lee Shott
of Sullivan, and Selby Wayne Shott of Sullivan;
grandchildren Miranda R. (Cooper) Hofmann, Jackson T. Shott,
Austin H. Shott and Sophie G. Shott
and special friends Jay Dee Williams and Carolyn Williams.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3,
2015 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, with Pastor
Billy Stines officiating and military service by the
Sullivan, Shelburn and Hymera
Legion Posts and Sullivan county VFW Post. Estel Shidler will conduct fire department honors. Interment will
follow in Decker Chapel Cemetery in Patoka. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until
1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015 at Brust Funeral Home.
