Jess W. Nelson 80 of Oakland City entered rest on Thursday Nov. 12, 2015 at
St. Mary’s Medical Center.

Jess was born on August 5, 1935 in Evansville IN to Jessie & Virginia (Bilderback) Nelson.

He was preceded in death by parents; a Brother Elden Nelson and Granddaughter
Brandy Nelson.

He served in United States Air Force during Vietnam. He also was member of U.M.W.A. and worked at Old Ben 1 Coal Mine after retirement he did carpentry work in area.

He is survived by son: Shon Nelson of Lynnville, IN; Grandson: Shon W. Nelson 11 of Elberfeld, IN; Granddaughter: Tasia Phillips of Evansville, IN; Sister: Lyndall Capen of Indianapolis, IN; Brother: Alan Nelson of Winslow, IN;
Great Grandchildren: Lili Young, Grant & Wyatt Nelson

Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with Dr. Robert Asa officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until service time.
