Robert E. Hayes, 80, of Princeton passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at The Waters of Princeton.

He was born on September 23, 1935 in Mt. Carmel, IL to Vernon and Mary (Hargrave) Hayes.

He moved from Oklahoma back to Princeton in 1981. He was a retired oil field worker and a member of Eagles Lodge 361 in Princeton. He also enjoyed gardening and fishing. 

He is survived by his 3 sons, Anthony (Shirley) Hayes of Francisco, Scott Hayes and Paul Hayes of Princeton; daughter, Cheri Catt (Leon Perry) of Oakland City; sister, Louise Po of Lawrenceville, IL; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Hayes; and great nephew, Ricardo Rodriguez. 

Funeral Services will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will be at the Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton.

Visitation will be from 1pm until service time on Saturday at Colvin Funeral Home.
