John Howard “Bud” Seabaugh,
88, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015, at St. Mary’s Medical
Center.
He was born May 24, 1927, in Wayne County, Missouri,
to Harry and Clara (Parsons) Seabaugh.
He retired from Sigeco after
39 years as a repairman and was a member of VFW Post 1114. He was a U.S. Army
veteran stationed in Japan right after they surrendered following WWII. He
enjoyed sports, especially watching the St. Louis Cardinals, and loved
listening to music. He was a quiet man, but when he did say something, it was
often funny.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents; son,
Charles H. Seabaugh; sisters, Geneva Lanman and E. Christine Miller; and nephew, Patrick
Schaefer.
He is survived by his sisters, Betty McDermott and
Shirley Schaefer; nieces and nephews, Dick (Becky) Roberson, Ben (Mary) Lanman, Kathy (Mike) Bussiere,
Karen Cox, Sandy (Dan) King, Belinda Oberle, Brenda
(Jim) Jost, Frank (Laura), John, Mark (Darlene), and
Dan Schaefer, Rosanna (David) Evans, Pete (Brandie) Schaefer, Janie Solomon,
Bobbi (Tom) Debes, and Adam (Stephanie) Schaefer; and
41 great-nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct.
29, 2015, at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, with
burial in Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton.
Friends may visit Thursday from 9 a.m. until service
time at the funeral home.
