Kenneth H. "Bud" Meny, 94 passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015 at his home.

He was born in Haubstadt on January 25, 1921 to the late Victor and Lorene (Schultheis) Meny

He was a long time co-owner of Meny's Gas and Appliance in Haubstadt retiring in 1986.  He was past president of the Indiana Propane Gas Association and a member of the Indiana Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Association.  He attended Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School and was a 1938 graduate of Haubstadt High School.  Bud was a lifetime member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church; a 76 year and Honorary Life member of Knights of Columbus #2215, member of Knights of St. John #345; past president of the Sts. Peter and Paul Parish- St. Vincent DePaul Society. He worked at The Lord's Pantry for several years. He supported multiple charities including St. Jude's Research Hospital and Riley's Children's Hospital.  Bud was also a U.S Navy veteran of World War II and a member of V.F.W. Post #2714 and American Legion Post #194. He was also a charter member of the Haubstadt Fire Department, member of the Haubstadt Investment Club. He served as a board member of Haubstadt State Bank. He was a former member of Haubstadt Chamber of Commerce.  He enjoyed travelling to all 50 states, mostly in his RV especially with family and friends. He was a past president of the Wings of Lincoln Camping Club. He also loved wood working.  He loved family gatherings especially the holidays. His favorite saying was "I have the best wife in the whole wide world." 

Also preceding him in death were 2 grandchildren, Tiffany Meny and Alex Meny. 1 sister, Mary Magdalen Meny and 1 brother, Gerald "Curly" Meny 

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Elvira (Maier) Meny. His children: Elaine (Ray) Gaesser of Lenox, IA, Steve (Rita) Meny of Haubstadt, Patti (Gary) Wilson of Cynthiana, Randy (Mary) Meny of Haubstadt, Diane Schildknecht of Carmel, IN, Sharon (Rick) Grimwood of Haubstadt, Mark (Lynn) Meny of Newburgh, Tim (Linda) Meny of Haubstadt, Lisa Rutledge of Evansville, Debbie (Mark) Heldt of Haubstadt, Karen (Steve) Baggett of Evansville and Kevin (Deb) Meny of Santa Claus, IN. 34 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.  Brothers and sisters; Wilma Reidford of Haubstadt, Dorothy Hamerin of St. Helens, OR., Elvira Neidig of Ft. Branch, Ann Lannert of Evansville, Imelda Balbach of Newburgh, Charles Meny of Evansville, Bernice Price of Cynthiana, Eugene Meny of Haubstadt and Joanne Lamey of Haubstadt. 

A Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM Monday, November 2 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites.  Friends may call from 2 to 8 PM Sunday, Nov. 1 at Wade Funeral Home with a Rosary service beginning at 1:30.  Friends may also call from 10 to 11 AM Monday at the church.
