Jeff D. Scott, 53, of Patoka, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville.
He was born March 27, 1962 in Princeton, IN to Eddie &
Frankie Scott.
He graduated from Princeton Community High School in the class of 1980. He also
graduated from University of Southern Indiana with a business degree. He owned
and operated JDS Mowing for the last several years. Jeff enjoyed spending time
with his children, family, friends, motocross racing, and listening &
playing music. When Jeff raced motocross back in the 90's he was one of the top
44 riders in the nation. His last race was at Loretta Lynn's in Hurricane
Mills, TN in 1995.
He is survived by three sons, Brandon, Braden, and Bronson Scott; his parents,
Eddie & Frankie (Scales) Scott of Patoka; a sister and brother-in-law Gayle
& Joe Cochran of Princeton; half sister Kim
Armstrong of Princeton; sister-in-law Leah Scott of Evansville, IN; nephews Joe
Cochran, Ty (Shellia) Cochran of Princeton, and niece
Christa King of Westfield, IN; several great nieces & nephews; Abby,
Mackenzie, Macie, Morgan, Daniel, Taylor, and Trenton.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed & Gladys (Minnis) Scott and Howard & Edna (Miller) Scales, and
brother Tommy Scott; and niece Lorri Cochran.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 22, 2015 at the Colvin Funeral
Home in Princeton, with Rev. Veltri Taylor
officiating. Burial will follow in the Decker Cemetery rural Patoka. Visitation
will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday at the Colvin Funeral Home
