Jane A. Leathco DeBord, 74, of Princeton, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. She was born February 26, 1941 in Princeton, IN to Elmer James “Bud” Leathco and Ruth Emalyn (Rainey) Leathco.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, was previously
the church secretary and a member of the choir. She was a member of Tri Kappa,
had served as the Treasurer for the Class of 1959, was a past president of the
Baldwin Heights P.T.A., and was one of three ladies that began Princeton girls’
softball. She was a follower of Band Boosters, Cross Country, and Boy Scouts.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth E. whom she married on July 27, 1958;
children, Melissa Johnson (Kyle) and Kenneth J. DeBord
(Virginia). One brother, Roger Leathco (Shawna); 2
grandchildren, Lauren Johnson and Ashley Johnson; and one great grandchild,
Grace Victoria.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Peggie
Sherman Stewart.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 7, 2015 at 10:30 AM at the
Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Jim Clark officiating. Burial will be in
the Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 PM on Sunday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
