Letta Rose Miller passed away August 23,2015 at the Good Samaritan Nursing home in Oakland City, Ind.

She was born January 10, 1934 in Pike County, Ind. to Robert John and Vivian Aileen (Stone) Shafer who preceded her in death.

She was a graduate of Winslow high school Winslow, Ind. and resided most of her lifetime in the Oakland City area where she and her family owned and operated the Oakland City Millers Hardware store. She enjoyed flower gardening, pampering her pets, watching the hummingbirds from her kitchenwindow, and being a house wife while catering to her three sons. 

Rose is survived by her husband Dallas Miller to whom she was married to in June 1954, two sons Timothy K. Miller of Francisco.IN and Thomas K. Miller of Oakland City; One brother Robert "Willie"(Peg) Shafer of Peoria, IL. Three half- sisters Sharon(Bud) Tewell of Lawrenceville, IL., Carolyn Kay (Larry) Parish of Vincennes, IN. and Sandi(Jack) Huffstatler of Petersburg, IN.

She was preceded in her death by her parents, Robert and Vivian Shafer, A son, Tony K. Miller, Brother Jack Lee Schafer, half- brother Roger G. Shafer and a step brother Richard L Willis.

Services will be 2:00 P.m. Wednesday August 26, 2015 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with burial in Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg, IN. Rev Darin D. Nossett will be officiating.

Visitation will from 10:00 A.M until services on Wednesday.
