Karen Kay Meadows, 68 of Princeton, passed away Monday,
August 24, 2015 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. She was born Aug. 6,
1947 in Princeton, to Frank and Geneva (Taylor) Minnis.
She retired from Potter and Brumfield, where she worked as
an assembler. She had lived in Princeton most of her life and was a member of
the Princeton Holiness Tabernacle Church. She was a Sunday School Teacher for
25 years. She was a minister’s wife, a mother, grandmother and homemaker and
enjoyed drawing and painting.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Larry Meadows of Princeton, to whom she
married Feb. 24, 1968, 2 sons, Larry Wayne Meadows (Lee Anne) and John Wayne
Meadows (Jen), both of Ft. Branch; 7 grandchildren, Meagan, Candyce,
Jocelyn, Madeline, Madison, Cherokee, and Jessi Meadows, 7 brothers and
sisters, Gloria, David, Patti, Joella, Raymond, Jeff
and Lesta, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Carol Minnis
and Roger and Geneva Minnis.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28, 2015 at the Colvin Funeral
Home in Princeton, with Rev. Larry Meadows and Rev. Kenneth Hurst officiating.
Burial will follow in the Blythe Chapel Cemetery, rural Owensville.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday, at the Colvin Funeral Home.
