Phyllis “Louise” Wick, 96, of Princeton, passed away
on Friday, July 3, 2015 at her home.
She was born on February 2, 1919 in Albion, IL to
Phillip and Lula (Gardner) Hallam.
She married the love of her life Floyd G. Wick on May
15, 1937.
Family has always been paramount in their lives.
Together, Floyd and Louise farmed and owned Wick’s Grocery in Decker, IN until
they retired. They have been long-time members of Hillside United Methodist
Church. After they retired, they enjoyed spending time with family and camping.
She is survived by her three sons, Phillip Wayne “Red” (Brenda) Wick of
Princeton, Brian (Sue) Wick of Effingham, IL and John (Sandy) Wick of Franklin,
IN; seven grandchildren, Lisa McLean, Greg Wick, Debbie Niebrugge,
Jackie Haarmann, Carmen Huelsbush,
Michelle Treloar and John C. Wick; sixteen great
grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and her two brothers and one
sister.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at the Colvin
Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Chris Neikirk
officiating. Entombment will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery Mausoleum in
Evansville.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of
service on Tuesday, at the Colvin Funeral Home.
