Betty Jo (Sills) Smith, 78, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville.

She was born July 26, 1936 in Oakland City, IN the daughter of Forrest and Thelma (Fulk) Sills.

Betty was a graduate of Oakland City High School class of 1954 and had worked 8 years as an assembler at Potter and Brumfield. Some of her most treasured hobbies include quilting, sewing and crafting. Betty dearly loved her granddaughters and was a wonderful and caring sister.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Sam Smith; son, Tim (Tona) Smith; 2 granddaughters, Kiana Lee and Kyra Marie Smith; brother, Ronald Wayne Sills; sisters, Judith Whitehead and Bonnie Mason.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 24, 2015 at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Ft. Branch with Kristi Pflug officiating. Holders Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
