Ernest B. Racine, 85, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Deaconess Hospice Center in Evansville. He was born Oct. 29, 1929 in Gibson County the son of Herbert and Elsie (Goodson) Racine.

Ernie retired from Emge Packing Company after 44 years as a supervisor. In retirement always enjoying the greater outdoors he gardened, fished and mowed.

Surviving him is his wife of 67 years, Jewel (Warren) Racine; daughter, Sandy (Mike) Slinker; son, Gary Racine; ex-daughter-in-law, Teri Racine; four grandchildren, Staci Blair, Heath, Heather and Jaime Racine; three great-grandchildren, Halen and Devin Blair, Kaleigh Racine; two sisters, Ruth McClellan and Linda (Gene) Devischeybergen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Tony Racine; grandson, T.J. Racine; siblings, Donnie, Roy, Elvis, Darlene and William Racine, Thelma Stewart. Barbara Slater.

Services will be on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Noon at Holders Funeral Home with Bob Douglas officiating. Burial will be in the Owensville Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the service time at the funeral home.
