Mattie Jean Whitehead 80 of Oakland City entered rest on Friday June 5, 2015 at
Good Samaritan Nursing Home.

She was born on Feb. 14, 1935 in Buckskin to Lawrence & Garnett (Willis) Hill.

Mattie was preceded in death by her parents, first Husband Charles Wallace in 1995, Sister Edna Kiegel , Brother Cecil Hill and son Ronald Wallace in 1987.

She had worked for Busler’s as a cook for several years, and was a member of 
Trinity United Methodist Church.

Survived by husband Donald Whitehead whom was married on Sept.9, 2002.
Daughters: Betty Wallace Clary of Post Falls Idaho, Dayna Allisonand Donna Lady Of Coatesville, IN; Sons: Charles Wallace of Paducah KY, Eric F. and David A. Whitehead of Greencastle, IN; (12) Grandchildren (15) Great Grandchildren; Sisters: Edgaretta Lecocg and Gertrude Stephens of Oakland City, IN
Brothers: Gorge Hill of Buckskin, IN and John K. Hill of Boonville, IN

Services will be 10:00 A. M. Tuesday June 9, 2015 Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with Rev. Larry Stoops officiating. Burial will take place in Owensville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and from 8:00 A.M. Tuesday at the chapel.
