Robert L. Padgett, 79, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2015 in Chicago, IL.

He was born on July 2, 1935.

He was a USAF Korean Vet and a member of American Legion Post #25 and the Princeton Eagles Aerie 361. 

Robert was the beloved husband of Joann (Mitchell) Padgett; loving father of Connie Lea Cottingham, Roger (Carol) Gayer, Deborah (Michael) Paoli and the late Tamila (Raymond) Pearson; cherished grandfather of Amy Gayer, Dena (Erik) Minarczk, Nicole (Dustin) Schatzeder, Ryan Pearson, Kelsey Pearson, Kristen Gayer, Bridget Gayer, Stephanie Pearson, Kevin Gayer and Alisha Cottingham; great grandfather of 6; dear brother of Richard Padgett and Shirley Padgett; preceded in death by his sisters, Norma, Wanda and Nancy. 

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3-9 pm at Drake & Son Funeral Home in Chicago, IL.

Graveside services will be held at 10 am on Friday at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton, IN. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with the local arrangements. Military graveside services will be conducted by representatives of the U.S. Air Force.
