Ruth D. (Eaton) Oates, 91, passed away Wed. June 3, 2015 at Logan Acres Nursing Home in Bellefontaine, OH.

She was born July 16, 1923 in Owensville daughter of Roscoe Chester and Annabelle (Tichenor) Eaton.

Ruth retired from Potter and Brumfield after 33 and ½ years, was a member of First General Baptist Church and the Philathea Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her sons, Chester A. (Barb) of Houston, TX and James I. (Lisa) Boren of Bellefontaine, OH; 5 grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, James O. Boren, Darby O. Deal and Orville Oates; siblings, Warren and Raymond Eaton, Nadine Monical, Rossanna Gremp, Gene Harris and Barbara Glick.

Services will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Holders Funeral Home with Bob Douglas officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Moriah Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
