William R. "Bill" Johanningsmeier,
57 passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Deaconess VNA Plus Hospice Center in
Evansville.
He was born February 15, 1958 in Vincennes to John
Anthony "Tony" and Elsie (Sampson) Johanningsmeier.
Bill resided in Haubstadt the past 9 years. He
was an equipment operator for Gibson County Coal.
He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic
Church and a member of UMWA. Bill coached Little League baseball and was
an avid sports fan. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with
family. He was a 1976 graduate of North Knox High School.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Bill is survived by his wife, Marcia (Terwiske) Johanningsmeier; 2 sons,
Grant (Kaley) of Haubstadt and Luke at home. His mother, Elsie Eisenhut of Vincennes. 2 grandchildren, Lillian and Eddyn Johanningsmeier. 1
sister, Tonya (Craig) Scott of Bruceville.
Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 11 AM (CST) Tuesday, June 16 at Sts. Peter and Catholic Church with Fr. Tony Ernst as
celebrant. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 PM (CST) Monday, June 15
at Wade Funeral Home with a Rosary service beginning at 1:30 PM. Friends
may also call from 9:30 to 11 AM (CST) Tuesday, June 16 at the church.
