John F. Davis 77 of Somerville, IN entered rest on Wednesday (17 Jun 2015) at his home.

He was born on January 25, 1938 in Oakland City, IN to Mason & Veronica (Brinksneader) Davis.

John retired from Whirlpool Corporation after 41 years. He was member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Oakland City and received the Brute Award and a Lifetime member of Princeton Knights of Columbus.

John was preceded in death by his Parents a Daughter Darlene Davis and Brother William Davis.

Survived by wife of 50 years Mona (Cox) Davis to whom was on Nov. 7, 1964.
Daughter: Christina (Jay) Clem of Cynthiana, IN; Son: John (Daniell) Davis Jr. of Winslow, IN; Grandsons: Zachary and Dustin Clem of Cynthiana, Alex and Nate Davis of Winslow , IN; Sisters: Rita Kissel of Poseyville, IN, Lucinda Hyde of Cerro Gordo, IL, Leona Forler of Chrisney, IN; Brother: James (Pat) Davis of St. Wendel,IN.

A mass of Christian will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday June 20, 2015 at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Fr. Ronald Zgunda Officiating. Burial will take place in St. Bernard Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.m. Friday at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel.
