Ronald Murrel Sells, 78, of
Wadesville, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Golden Living
Center-Brentwood.
He was born in Kansas City, Kansas, on January 11,
1937 to the late Donald and Edna (Croy) Sells.
He graduated from Laverne High School, Laverne, OK.
Ron furthered his education at Gradwohl School of
Laboratory, St. Louis, MO, where he met and married the love of his life, the
late Nancy (Laib) Sells on August 1, 1959.
Ron and Nancy worked together several years in the
medical field, and eventually settled in Oklahoma to raise their family. Ron
worked 27 years as a lab and x-ray tech. In 1986, after the birth of his first
and only grandchild, he ended his career, and he and Nancy moved to Wadesville
to be closer to their granddaughter and family. Ron became part-owner in the
family business Universal Diecutters Corporation and
retired in 2002. In his spare time, Ron enjoyed tinkering in his workshop and
woodworking. He did beautiful work and could fix and build anything! Ron was a
loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and
friend, and will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years Nancy (Laib) Sells and his parents.
Ron is survived by his daughter Tonya (Darrell) Paddock; son Joe Sells both of
Wadesville, IN; brother Donald Jean Sells, Cartersville, GA; sisters Donna Lee
Wade, Larned, KS and Eula (Edwin) Modrick,
Amarillo, TX ; granddaughter Natalie (Roddy) Blaylock;
great-grandsons, Easton and the twins Asa and Owen
Blaylock of New Harmony, IN.
Private graveside services will be held at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Ft. Branch.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 pm on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Colvin Funeral
Home in Princeton, IN.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Golden Living Center-Brentwood
and Asera Care Hospice for their loving care during
his brief stay.
