Jacob Lee “Butch” Sweany age
71, of Patoka, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at the Transcendent
Healthcare Facility, located in Owensville, IN.
Butch was born on March 15, 1944 in Indianapolis, IN
to Harvey Lee and Ruby Marie (Banister) Sweany, both of
who precede.
Butch is Vietnam Veteran in which after his service
began working for Mouzin Farms as a farmhand. In 1965
he married Darlene Marvel who preceded him in death. Butch was an outdoors
person that loved to fish, ride his motorcycle as well as playing ball and
working on his car.
Survivors include son, Jacob (Beth) Shaw of Mt.
Carmel, IL and daughter, Tangela (Rick) Windle of Vincennes, IN.
Other survivors include brothers; Robert Sweany
of Bruceville, IN, Patrick (Jenny) Sweany of North Vernon, IN & Carl Sweany
also of North Vernon, IN. sisters; Peggy Murphy of DuPont, IN, Mary (Daniel)
Dillon of Patoka, IN, Patricia Sweany of Vincennes,
IN, Carolyn Bennett of Vincennes, IN, Nancy Murphy of Washington, IN, Juanita Sweany of Vincennes, IN, and Grandson, Liam Scott Shaw.
Butch is preceded in death by his parents, wife,
Darlene and sister Debra Sweany.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M. C.S.T. on
Thursday, April 23, 2015, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Patoka, IN with the Retired
Military Veterans Organization conducting military honors. The procession will
leave Doyle Funeral Home, located at 520 S. Main St in Princeton, IN at 12:45
P.M. C.S.T.
There will be a time a visitation with the family from
1:00 P.M. C.S.T. until time of service at 2:00 P.M. Doyle Funeral Home has been
entrusted to handle arrangements.
